A day-long Seminar & Workshop on "Open Source & Redhat Linux OS" was held at Northern University Bangladesh on 17th April 2008.
The seminar and workshop was organized jointly by BASE Ltd. and the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Northern University Bangladesh. Prof. Dr.Nurul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Science, Professor Mir Md. Akramuzzaman, and Mr. Lutfar Rahman, Director HRD delivered their speeches in the seminar. The program was conducted by Dr. Md. Al-Amin Bhuiyan, Associate Professor, Jahangirnagar University.
Mr. Senhangsu Karmker, Technical Consultant, Redhat India & Md. Russell Jahan Mehedi, Manager Education, BASE Ltd. delivered their speeches as the special guests on the Seminar topic “Future & benifit of Opensource”.
After Seminar, The workshop on “Redhat Linux Installation & Configuration” was conducted by Mr. Ruhul Majid Chowdhury, MIS Manager & Mr. Bibak, Network Administrator & Asst. Enterprise Engineer from BASE Ltd. approximately 100 students from Northern University participated in the workshop.
